The detailed review by the Expert Committee is now complete!
The Expert Committee has worked hard throughout the spring and early summer to review in detail all the comments made during the primary consultation. They examined how to improve and adapt the language of the 2017 U.S. version of the Standards and Practices.
The members of the Expert Committee represented a variety of perspectives from the Canadian land trust community. This diversity ensured to cover all parts of Canada – from coast to coast, to represent the two legislative systems and the two official languages, and to hear from land trusts of all sizes.
Recommendations have been submitted to the CLTA board. The translation of the recommended version is underway and we expect to be able to start the Second Online Consultation on August 6, 2018, to be completed by September 20, 2018.
More information to come in the coming weeks! Stay tuned!
